The city is currently home to light industry, traditional manufacturing and high technology companies. It is rapidly becoming a food manufacturing center with such companies as Dunkin’ Donuts central manufacturing plant, Joseph’s Gourmet Pasta and Sauce Company, General Mills Yoplait Brand Yogurt, Hans Kissle Co., Cedar’s Mediterranean Foods, Inc. and Boston Coffee Cake Co. locating food processing plants across the city.

Haverhill covers 36 square miles and has plenty of room for companies to grow, while its moderate rental and sales rates and available workforce make it a good value for any company looking to relocate.

Industrial/Business Parks

There are four specific industrial parks in Haverhill but the city also has a multitude of industrial and commercial property in a variety of locations.

The industrial parks are:

  • Newark Street Industrial Park, Newark Street
     
  • Haverhill High Technology Park, off Route 97, near Interstate 495 (Exit 50)
     
  • Frontier Industrial Park, near Hilldale Avenue


Downtown

Downtown Haverhill includes:

  • The Washington Street Historic District, which features a variety of retail shops and restaurants
     
  • The Wingate Street Arts District
     
  • Merrimack Street, which is the in-town banking center and professional services center; and many of the downtown mill buildings have been turned into in-town industrial/commercial centers housing light industry and professional service businesses.

  • The state line area along Route 125 (Main St to Plaistow Road)
     
  • Route 125 in the Bradford section of the city
     
  • Lincoln Avenue (Route 97)
